In time

Pressed upon 

From every side

The fear

The uncertainty

The nausea

Then the compression

Being squeezed

Feeling sick

Feeling terror

Then being expelled

For bad conduct?

Punishment forthcoming?

Expelled into the unknown

Banished from dark and dank

Banished from what

Banished from where

Banished to what

Banished to where

To light

To oxygen

To unfiltered sounds

To foreign hands grasping

Touching

To abject vulnerability

No defense

Limbs with strength

Tongue yet no words

A body with no authority

No power

At the mercy 

Of monsters

Of humans

Of animals

Of microbes

To suffer

To grow

To misery

To laughter

To warmth

To light

To love

To hate

To vulnerability

To survival

To fail bodily

To the moment

Of nothingness

Consciousness ... 

Memory before the womb gone

Thus memory of this life dissipates?
